There are regulations controlling the construction and replacement of fences. This includes side fences and front fences within certain height parameters built from timber or bricks. A fence may or may not require a Building Permit.
However, there are clear regulations over the maximum height of fences (front and side boundary) and in some areas there are overlays which affect the type and colour of fence which can be constructed. In these situations, you will require a building permit. Again, it’s best to check with EGBP before you commence work or engage a contractor.
