Change of use of an Existing Building

All buildings are approved for a specified use and in many cases there are specific conditions attached to the approved planning and building permits. Whenever an owner wishes to change the use to which a building is put, building approval (permit) needs to be sought and obtained.

For example, an owner wishes to change a retail property from a takeaway fish and chip shop to an office. Planning approval and building approval are required. Or a home owner wishes to change their investment property from a domestic residence to a boarding house. Again, appropriate approvals will be required.

EGBP is experienced in seeking approvals based on change of use. Contact us to obtain informed advice early in the process to ensure that you do not waste time or money embarking on a project which is doomed to failure.
