Re-location of a Building

When an existing building is removed, transported and re-erected at a new location, a building permit is required. This work will essentially require the building to be re-blocked on the new site and also sited on the new property. Both of these matters in their own right require a building permit to be applied for and granted. For relocations, a bond will be required and returned on completion.

It is advisable to obtain informed advice from EGBP to confirm that the building to be relocated will be approved for erection at the new site. In some instances, a Planning Permit may need to be obtained.
